i wish that i could be a serious artist, an artist that people take seriously. like leonard cohen, or patti smith, or lee renaldo or jim jarmusch. like lena dunham, or federico fellini, or bill callahan, or joyce carol oates. the kind you hear on interviews on npr or podcasts/ted talks, talking about art, and topics just like that. And they got the blue checkmarks, and all the people send hearts, 'cause serious artists speak, and all the smart people listen. See them stroking their chins. See them think deep thoughts. Exchange witticisms, and then go back to work. Because serious is smart. It's so college educated. It's so urban and jaded. They hate the "common" and the "stock." Because serious artists, they got the tragicomedy. They got the stürm und drang. They got the depth and the nuance. Because serious artists, they got serious minds. They got serious hearts. And they never sing nonsense like sha la la la la la la la la la sha la la la la la la la la la sha la la la la la la la la la sha la la la la la la sha la la la lahhhh sha la la la lahhhh sha la la la lahhhh sha la la lahhhhhh here's a guitar solo tell ya all about it
